Black Sheep Boy V

Black Sheep Boy V

Postby Nature of the Beast on Tue Oct 20, 2009 12:05 am

Sorry if this has been asked before, I attempted to search for it but failed terribly. But unfortunately I'm too determined to let it go and thus I made an account, more or less for the soul purpose of asking this question and getting an answer.

So I was reading this http://www.jound.com/okkervil/blacksheepboystory.html, it's a short little summary Will did of Black Sheep Boy. There's a portion of it where Will talks about making five creatively titled Black Sheep Boy songs.
I called it “Black Sheep Boy II” (though we eventually changed the name to “So Come Back, I Am Waiting” when we were working up the Black Sheep Boy artwork). After “Black Sheep Boy II” came “Black Sheep Boy III” (now called “In a Radio Song”), and then “Black Sheep Boy”s IV and V, which didn’t make it to the finished record.
As someone who has both Black Sheep Boy and the Appendix I obviously know the first four, but the fifth is still a mystery to me and I want to know if the song has been released and if so, what the name of it is. Originally I thought it was "Another Radio Song", but that evolved out of "For the Captain" and so I figured that it wasn't... I suppose I could be wrong, but I figured people on here would probably know for certain. So please please please, someone answer my question so that I can make a playlist and listen to all five in a row and see if something fantastical happens once I've listened to all five in a row.

There's still a chance it could be Another Radio Song since Black Sheep Boy IV was a rerecording of Disfigured Cowboy.
I don't really know though, could be something else

I agree that Black Sheep Boy #4 is a recording of Disfigured Cowboy, but #5 can not be Another Radio Song. They don't share a similar theme, and Another Radio Song is a recording of For the Captain. I don't know either. I only thought there were four.
