Confessing my love for OR.

New fan here from the UK, saying Hi.

Discovered Okkervil River just before Christmas and for the past 2 months i've been completely unable to listen to any thing else, they have completely captivated me! It's been a real long time since a band has this effect on me, well obvisously i've picked up the back catalogue as well as as much non album material as I can find - all quality stuff. Personally i'd say 'Black Sheep Boy + the Appendix' is my favourite album of the lot - what a fantasic collection of songs.

I really hope I can get to see these guys live in the future.

Yeah I had the same reaction when I got into them. It'd been a long, long time since a band had kept my attention for so long. I saw them for the first time a month ago, but they were only opening... can't wait for another tour.

I only discovered OR last year but was very lucky to find out they were touring the UK last Sept. They were awesome live and they still dominate my ipod nearly 12 months after discovery! Hopefully they will be recording their next album soon

I met a boy online who introduced me to loads of new music, including OR. A year later we met while I was studying in the UK and after 8 months we got engaged. We were supposed to see OR in London last September but were unable to get tickets (he's already seen them a few times!) but I hope I'm on the right continent soon to see them.

I hear you Soupytwist. I myself have only recently discovered OR. It's been about 12 months now and I know the feeling of not being able to listen to much else.
