Dead Dog Song, and the muffled song that ends it...

I have been wondering this for a long time and have searched for the answer, and the search has brought up nothing.

What is the song at the end of Dead Dog Song? The muffled mandolin chords and all.
Is it a tiny bit of a song being covered, or is it even a song at all? I have a hard time figuring the words out.

Any insight would be wonderful.

I remember it being on here somewhere but here goes...
It is an alternate take on the line "I know that it's not much" from the song Red. But unfortunately it was said to be only this snippet and not a full alternate version of the song.

Thank you for the reply! I remembered it being discussed on here a long time ago as well, but there were no results when I tried to search for it here. Again, thanks for letting me know.
