Over 80 % of a concert’s CO2 footprint is from the fans’ commute
We are proud to announce our goal of making our fall US tour completely carbon neutral. Our plan has 2 parts: Reducing our fans' carbon footprint by encouraging you to ride bikes, carpool, or take public transit to the shows where possible, and offsetting the rest of our carbon emissions through purchasing Native Energy carbon offsets.
BIKES
We have teamed up with bike groups across the country to encourage bike riding as a safe, healthy, and eco-friendly way to travel. The idea behind specifically partnering up with local bike advocacy groups is fueled in promoting this form of alternative transportation as an accessible method of travel to not only concert venues, but in everyday life.
We'd like to extend our warmest thanks to all the individuals and organizations that contributed their ideas, time, and support to help promote alternative transportation at their local tour stops. Check out the information below to find out about organized rides to the shows in your market. If you’d like to help set up a ride or donate bike racks for the show in your market please contact us

OFFSETS
Regardless of how fans commute to the venues, you can individually offset your carbon footprint at the venue and help the band reach their goal of a carbon-free tour. Okkervil River will be selling eco-friendly and recycled stickers with the image art designed by Okkervil’s very own Scott Brackett. The stickers will be selling for two dollars and each purchase will offset 300lbs of CO2 emissions.
Many thanks to Native Energy for helping us to estimate our emissions
Also thanks to Jamie Paratore and Air Traffic Control
